New- Number Two

Hello Awko Tacos,
It's been a while! Like months LOL. So sorry. Sarah and I have been really busy with many different things during this freshmen year. For me, I've been adjusting to my new school and trying to get a feel of this new life. From the city life to the country life. It's been really different. I miss all my friends in my old hometown, but I keep in touch with the ones that really matter. (Not to make it sound like my other friends are not important, no, no, no, it's just I am so appreciative of the people that have stuck with me throughout this whole year even after I have moved.)

Moving has taught me a long of things- like prioritizing the people you surround yourself with, the new goals that you need to set in order to do well in this new place, and the difficulties of distance. It's a very hard thing- distance. It's a sad thing too. But everyday you can't just go around moping about it, do something. Unfortunately I wasn't able to join many extra curriculars this year because of my late arrival... But next year I am so making up for the lack of clubs on my apps... I hope it doesn't affect the colleges' decision too much (^_^)"

In a person's lifetime, not many stay in one place. People in the real world have adapted to different places and traveled! Work life is not like high school life, I'm sure of that. High school has been so eye opening. Over the past year... a lot has happened to me since 8th grade graduation. I've changed, and learned about some experiences that have made me mature. I think differently. Every year, I say to myself that last year, I was the biggest idiot alive. Now I know, that in the past year, I've made too many mistakes to count & I'm pretty sure nothing can top this transition year. Yay 2012-2013? (Can anyone relate lol?)

This year, I've honestly done...not a lot. I'm not proud of it. But I still have a whole life to waste... or live. Summer will definitely be different. First, I have to survive my math test tomorrow. (See? I'm improving already- PRIORITIZING lol.)

Then I have finals -__- Well, we'll get to that later on. Like. A month. OHMYGOD (T_T)
(This year has gone by WAY TOO FAST- SLOW DOWN. JK. I want summer.)

Well, till next time I remember the password to this blog! LOL jk.
Mwahhh,
Sam ^_^

New

Hey guys,
It's been a while. Caught up in a lot of things. A lot of new, new, new things...
Sarah hasn't been checkin' the blog lately so it's kinda my takeover for now till I remind her :3
Well, it's a new life for me now. New state, a billion miles away from home </3 From my family and friends and the town I knew all my life.
It's hard. It really is. It's heartbreaking. It's hard to get over. Life is hard in general.
A friend of mine, who has the awesomest tumblr ever btw (look up the blog: somewherethatdoesntexist), showed me this really deep song. It touched me. I had never heard this kind of message before.
I will post it as a page to the right over here------------------------------>
Usually, I'm not into this kind of style of music, or even this musician, but this guy has somethin' to say. Totally. And it's good to try new things.
The song was about... If you have problems in your life, and you're feeling like crap, and you have all these mixed emotions from everything... Tell someone. Tell the world if you have to (blogging lol). But in the end, NO ONE WILL UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE FEELING. I mean, who could? It's your feelings and everyone is different. The feelings and empathy might be the same, but still, no one will truly know your pain because you are the only person feeling it. So that's why. Since no one understands, move on. Leave the pain behind after you've expressed what you've felt. Because life goes on and life will never understand you, so what is the point in trying to MAKE people understand?
Exactly. You can't.
And it taught me something. Something new. And I have never thought about it that way before. So it's time to stop PITYING my life now and make something better out of it.
One step at a time. I'll try something new.
Keep followin', Awko Tacos :)

High School

Hello Tacos!
It's been so long since the last bloggie post, so sorry! When people say high school is drama-free, work-free, and fun-filled, they are liars. Totes.

For the past month or so, Sarah and I have been battling the hardships of high school. All honors classes, yay :3 And one seriously difficult AP world history class. My advice... if you want to take it easy and not be totally overwhelmed with work, don't take AP world unless you really want to! It's a lot of information to learn.
GENERAL STUFF. High school is hard to navigate around at first, but over time, you'll get it. I got lost five times in the first week! >_<
It's also kind of hard to get the hang of how things work (I'm still learning where everything is and all the rules and such), but it'll be easier as it goes.
FRIENDSHIPS. Meeting new friends and losing old ones is one of the hardest things (for me). I've met really nice people at my high school, but as a student among a couple thousand students, you feel quite forever alone. But it's alright. Keeping old friends and keeping up old relationships might seem hard at first because of different classes, different new friends, different clubs, but that's okay! High school truly tests a friendship.
DANCES/FREE TIME. Study groups instead of hangout sessions, hanging in libraries instead of at the movies, football games and homecoming dances. High school. Just love it. (A tip for high school dances--> it's only fun if you go with a group of friends that <3 to dance! Going with a date is romantic sounding, but at the dance, the music blasts street mix B96 so loud, there's no slow dancing or anything of the sort. And usually, it just ends up awkward! So go with your fun-loving friends! :D)
FOOTBALL GAMES. Not my thing, I now realize. And it was raining -_-
FRESHMEN. WHY DO UPPERCLASSMEN HATE FRESHMEN? I DON'T UNDERSTAND. They used to be freshies themselves! ("Freshies"=pet name for freshmen). Freshmen haven't done anything wrong? Why is it so prejudiced? :o
CLUBS. Joining clubs should be pretty fun! Trying new things and letting you experience things you haven't done before! WHO Club and Art Club for me, at the moment... (WHO Club is community service- good for college apps! It's always good to start early to impress 'em.) Any more clubs I should try out? (Maybe Guitar or something fun and artsy or musical!) :D
HOMEWORK. Well, old habits die hard. Every friend of mine so far has found themselves doing homework on the weekends all on Sunday, so I never hang out with them on Sundays anymore :( Procrastination. Not very good, but people do it anyway! In high school, do your homework! It actually counts now more than ever!
DRAMA. Whoever said high school was not filled with drama, was seriously lying. Drama is everywhere. Dating problems, people liking people, friend fights, friends getting distant, fights in general... It's cray cray >_< Staying away from drama is the way to go! It'll make life so much easier... :/ Drama is just going to distract from what is really important. (I know. Been through it. Going through it. Getting over it. Kind of.)

So, that's mostly what high school is all about! (At least for me...) Questions? Comment~! Blog ASAP.
Love ya, Taquitos! <3

The Mall

Hello!
Today, we went to the malllll. Shopping is so fun. There weren't any good sales. Which sucked. We saw a sign that said "BUY ONE GET 150%!" <-- that is misleading the public. But it was supposed to say "BUY ONE GET 1 50%!". Anyway, there was a huge art show thing at the mall outside. There were so many tents & stuff. There were cool ceramics and glass art, but the tents were blocking the stores so we couldn't navigate very well. Sadly. We're already directionally challenged.
Some really trendy fashions over in the mall was lacy, bows, and bright bright colors. Strapless and ruffles are also in style. The vintage stuff. There was also this style which was a leotard looking thing/baby clothes, but for grown women and girls. It was kind of strange looking. Crop tops and interesting patterns are ALWAYS IN :D and white. White is an amazing color :)
Summer is already almost over! Only a month left... So we shall enjoy it as much as we can :D
Anyway, that's our update :)

Beachy Weekend

Hey Awko Tacos,
This weekend is going to be quite a special weekend. Today is a bowling day with friends! Scooreee. I meant, strike.
But tomorrow, "let's go to beach, 'each, let's go get away, bay, say, what they gonna say? Have a drink, clink, found the Budlight, bad alsdkfj like me are hard to come by..." No, we're not having shots, we're going to the beach! Finally.
Sarah & I have been trying to plan a beach day for weeks with a bunch of friends, but honestly it never works out. So plan carefully when you try to plan beach day! We've been checking the weather constantly. That is a key. The best days for the beach are when the weather is in the 80s-90s, sunny or partly cloudy, with a breeze. Bring plenty of food & sunscreen & bring a bunch of stuff to do! I have a slightly deflated football & frisbees to bring... ;) Yay for the beach!
So make some summer memories at the beach. Hopefully it works out & doesn't rain on you.
(Did you know it's the hottest summer in the history of summers???!) (Thanks, 2012)
Keep on following & commenting, tacos. :3

What You Do On A Rainy Day

Hello Fellow Awko Tacos,

It was a humid, rainy day today. Not as bad as it sounds. So, me & Sam hung out with another one of our friends today. Our friend was interrogating a summer school friend of Sam's, & the summer school (ss) friend has never met our friend before. She wanted to know what people thought about her before they met her. Based off her name, she is apparently "a hipster-y kind of person with blonde highlights, and with hipster glasses, who is a unique, overwhelming young woman" according to the ss friend. (By the way, she's nothing like that- she's better).
We got bored of sitting around from the rain so we went outside anyways, which led to our friend was explaining a really weird fan fiction story that she read. 4 people & so much Asian drama. One couple, where the boyfriend is gay & the girlfriend (Hanna) knows, but the guy doesn't know he's gay. One couple, where the boyfriend (Kai) is poor & the girlfriend is a spoiled little brat & wants expensive gifts. It's quite the typical Asian drama. Because eventually the boyfriend of Hanna falls head over heels for Kai! And Kai is the only one that didn't know the boyfriend was gay. Awko taco much?
THEN, we went on a walk after the rain stopped, & it was sticky & humid! And we saw a mini bunny! :3
Later, after we creeped out Sam's friend from summer school, Sam & our friend played Just Dance 3, & I sat out because I refused to dance for them. But I made them do this Power Ranger dance called "Spectronizer" or whatever just because I wanted a good laugh. They looked really stupid. Hehehehe :P
So our interrogation friend left & I made Sam finish the game herself even though two players were needed. I got a video :) Maybe I'll post it later. Depends.
Well, that was our lovely rainy Friday, not that bad.
Now, I might've messed up Sam & her friend's phone because we sent a SUPER LONG multimedia text (not just a regular text message) that might have crashed both her & her friend's phone. We all have problems. Don't judge me.
Bye for now,
Sarah (& Sam) :)
