What You Do On A Rainy Day

Hello Fellow Awko Tacos,

It was a humid, rainy day today. Not as bad as it sounds. So, me & Sam hung out with another one of our friends today. Our friend was interrogating a summer school friend of Sam's, & the summer school (ss) friend has never met our friend before. She wanted to know what people thought about her before they met her. Based off her name, she is apparently "a hipster-y kind of person with blonde highlights, and with hipster glasses, who is a unique, overwhelming young woman" according to the ss friend. (By the way, she's nothing like that- she's better).
We got bored of sitting around from the rain so we went outside anyways, which led to our friend was explaining a really weird fan fiction story that she read. 4 people & so much Asian drama. One couple, where the boyfriend is gay & the girlfriend (Hanna) knows, but the guy doesn't know he's gay. One couple, where the boyfriend (Kai) is poor & the girlfriend is a spoiled little brat & wants expensive gifts. It's quite the typical Asian drama. Because eventually the boyfriend of Hanna falls head over heels for Kai! And Kai is the only one that didn't know the boyfriend was gay. Awko taco much?
THEN, we went on a walk after the rain stopped, & it was sticky & humid! And we saw a mini bunny! :3
Later, after we creeped out Sam's friend from summer school, Sam & our friend played Just Dance 3, & I sat out because I refused to dance for them. But I made them do this Power Ranger dance called "Spectronizer" or whatever just because I wanted a good laugh. They looked really stupid. Hehehehe :P
So our interrogation friend left & I made Sam finish the game herself even though two players were needed. I got a video :) Maybe I'll post it later. Depends.
Well, that was our lovely rainy Friday, not that bad.
Now, I might've messed up Sam & her friend's phone because we sent a SUPER LONG multimedia text (not just a regular text message) that might have crashed both her & her friend's phone. We all have problems. Don't judge me.
Bye for now,
Sarah (& Sam) :)

Let's Talk Friend-lationships & Parents

Hola Taquitos Awkwardos!
It's been a while since I've made a fun blog post. So. Let's talk relationships, shall we? <3
I'm not going to name specific people in this, but here goes.
Today, I hung out with a really good guy friend of mine from my summer school. It was totally fun because you know, guy friends are fun to have. We watched Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows Part 2 ("Let's finish this how we started--TOGETHERR!") (Sorry I just had to say that), I taught him some guitar, & he walked me to my dance class.
BUT, the thing is, sometimes, guy friends and girl friends tend to end up liking each other. It's perfectly normal though. Everyone says that it's hard to 'fess up to a friend just because "they're afraid of ruining the relationship between them". Which is possible. Not going to lie.
BUT, how will you know you will mess up if you don't try? If you really are good friends, then it wouldn't BE awkward if you broke up & it didn't work out. You can still start over & still be friends. I call this a "friend-lationship".
The POINT of the story I told is that, like many teens in the world, I can't date. I'm not allowed till I'm like 30. But, there are lots of teens like this. Most of the time, parents don't let their little girl/boy date. So, if you like someone & they like you, but he/she can't date, or you can't date...then it depends on you whether or not you go for it.
Sometimes, parents might let you. Because they're cool like that. But sometimes, they won't. Don't try and be all "I'm-a-rebellious-teen-&-I-can-do-whatever-I-want", because it's not going to help your parents trust you. It'll make it seem like you are immature & can't handle it.
BUT, if you ask beforehand, or ask for advice from your mom or dad, or just tell them how you feel, they will feel like you trust them with your feelings & trust them with your secrets, so maybe they will let you. It's not guaranteed, but it's definitely better than dating behind someone's back. Or, as I like to call it, being "special buddies" (secretly dating, basically).
Huh, I really do need to listen to my own advice. Haha :)
So try it out, guys. Be bold. Be brave. Don't be afraid to stand up for what you believe in when it comes to a relationship.
Talk to you soon!

Thinking Of You

Well, hey guys,
Sometimes you guys will receive the news that will change your lives. Like when your dad or mom gets a job in a different state, & you have to leave everything behind. It really is depressing.
But it isn't worth crying about it. Pretend you have 6 months left to live. Live it to the best you have. YOLO? <--no.
In all seriousness though, do all you can to keep in touch with the people you love. They're not leaving you. Make pacts with your best friends. Promise to visit. Technology is a great thing. (Email, text, Skype, Facebook)
You might think that seeing them in person is way better, & it is true. But the best thing to do is make sure you are happy. Because your friends and family will feel worse if you aren't happy. And make sure they know you'll be thinking about them every minute of every day.
This is coming from a person that's going through it right now. So listen. Learn.
Love.
